After a long and stressful moving process (no fault of Orchard Estates) Alex was supportive every step of the way. She went above and beyond to help where she could and was sympathetic and pro active throughout. We really appreciate her support through this and can’t imagine getting the amount of support or flexibility with any other estate agents. We sold our home and also purchased a house with Orchards Estates, all the staff are so professional and knowledgeable. The communication is excellent, I could always talk to a member of the team and staff are proactive in updating and sharing information. Alex and the team have excellent relationships with other local professionals such a solicitors and mortgage brokers which means that the sale and purchase was able to complete promptly. Staff are friendly and respectful and have exceptional knowledge of the local market. The marketing of our home was of excellent quality and they truly took the time to understand our requirements and budget, finding us a new home that we love!

By far the best estate agents I’ve used so far (I’ve rented from 6 agents now).

They establish a good relationship with their tenants, provide quick and professional responses and try to help you as much as possible. I have always been able to rely on their friendly approach.

Prior to the move-out inspection, they came round to the property to provide feedback on the cleanliness, to help us ensure that we received our full deposit back - this gave us massive peace of mind and I wish all agents were as keen as Orchard Estates were to provide us with this service.

If I ever moved back into the area, I would certainly go back to them in the first instance.

As first time buyers the fun and excitement of buying a first house was made a disappointing time due to Orchard Estates.

We first viewed a property in Ilchester and were told it would be a quick turn around due to being no chain.... we were falsely told this.

When viewing again for the second time we were abruptly asked there and then what offer we were going to make and felt although we were being really forced to hurry up and get our offer in.

After having the offer accepted and picking our solicitors we were told not to go with the solicitors we had chosen as they were slow. We were happy with the choice we had made and used them again in the sale following this one. Alex at Orchards told us that we should use their solicitor as if we picked the solicitor we wanted to use she would not be chasing them as they are slow and that was 'on us' (No doubt threatening self-interest for commission).

After waiting in limbo with our mortgage offer slowing reaching the expiry date, waiting for their tenants to move out of the property we decided to withdraw from the sale. I must add I go better information going directly to the tenant in situ who was lovely throughout trying to keep me updated even though this was not her job (From the start it seemed they were very much pro tenants staying in the property and not actually interested in the sale at all - I have come to this conclusion due to the fact they didn't give the tenants the notice until after they had paid their rent despite us giving the estate agents all the information they needed to do this prior, leading to the tenants having 3 full months).To which we never received another email or communication from them just an email attachment of termination of sale with no text in the email.

We had no communication with them after this, bar today when we received a random phone call from Alex at Orchards who asked us if we wanted to go through with the sale due to the tenants leaving the property shortly. To which I replied we had found another beautiful first home which we managed to complete and move in under two months after viewing it, with a very professional estate agents. Alex, mentioned the review I had left on google and asked why we had left a poor review, to which I replied we were not happy with the service we were provided and unfortunately there would be no working relationship going forward with Orchard Estate Agents. She very rudely replied 'the feeling is mutual' and hung up the phone. Again reiterating the service provided was not up to what we thought we should expect as first time buyers, with the prospect to use them in the future.

Following our phone call today, I am amending my review from 2/5 stars to 1/5 stars.

Use Orchards if you want to be treated as stupid as a first time buyer.

What can I say!!!
Such amazing service from my first enquiry right up to exchange Orchards have been amazing but also so personal. The team really look after and aren’t pushy (such a refreshing change).
We put our house on after falling in love with a house Orchards were selling and asked them to value ours. Such a swift and professional service it was like they genuinely wanted the best for us.
The whole practice of buying and selling was an absolute dream and so swift thanks to the amazing team. Doesn’t matter who deals with you they all are kept up to date on the progress etc. Positively seamless so thrilled we used Orchards.

After having the big agencies around to assess and value my house for resale, I decided to put my trust in a small local firm called Orchards Estates. Glad I did the house sold within 3 weeks, well done Ladies, job well done. Cant recommend this company enough, very professional, polite and friendly throughout. Nothing was too much trouble.
