I made a PPI claim in 2019 and was advised to claim back the tax. Pockex tax were instructed. I forgot all about it until I had a letter from HMRC in April 2023 saying a cheque for the overpayment would be sent to pockex tax in 14 days. I had an email from pockex 10 days later confirming a payment was due and confirming personal details. By 20 June I still hadn’t received anything. Chased it up and pockex told me HMRC informed them the claim was rejected - despite a letter from HMRC and an email from pockex themselves, confirming the contrary! Seems they have received my money and are now keeping hold of it all. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

BE AWARE! Carefully worded email from these guys who were involved as a third party from a well known PPI company you seen on the TV (G.B) I used a couple of years ago (they were very good) - long story short they had the power to take my tax rebate from HMRC and remove a 36% handling fee!! Check if you ever did PPI claims that you have them - Pockex Tax, remove the deed from their records! They've had a good wodge of my owed tax rebate - for doing sweet F.A. and they also managed to snaffle more tax from an old PPI claim. HMRC can do nothing as its called a 'deed of assignment' Be warned!

Absolutely disgraceful company, HMRC sent them a tax rebate owed to me of £65 and they sent me £31...taking a £34 handling fee. They should be ashamed of themselves. Avoid at all cost they steal your money

Been waiting over a year for them to sort my rebate… excuses after excuses… HMRC have told me they’ve sent the money but I’m still waiting…. No call back nothing, sick of chasing them…. AVOID!!

My claim has been going on over a year, due to delays in Tax Office. But not kept up to date by Pockex Tax and they don't chase up or make any contact with me. A rather poor service if you ask me, which you have.

Was awarded £187 and after their 36% cut, I received £118. Can't be too disappointed as I didn't know i was due anything, still, quite a big fee to charge.

No stars from me, I was under the impression pockex tax would take 20% only to find they take 30% Plus VAT they received my cheque on 21/8/22 - 1 month later I still had heard nothing, I e.mailed the company, no reply , I then phoned which was just as well as without my bank details they seemed to have no rush to send my money, I have furnished them with my details for bank transfer which they tell me will take her another 14 days to process, all in all not happy with their service.

Communication is very poor. Never contacted me about my refund and unpon my call to them told me my claim was settled the day before, very convenient.
