Zero stars for this firm. Competed on my property didn’t release £260k for 4 days left me homeless then charged me a further £1800 hidden charges. Do yourself a favour and use another firm so you don’t have the problems I had with them. Worse solicitor firm I ever dealt with in buying and selling properties. In response to your reply of this review it shows how incompetent you all are how many clients with Chris Price do you have. My address was 18 Boyn Valley Road SL6 4ED

I'm hoping I can increase my star rating at end of my customer journey. I am using these solicitors to sell my dad's flat. I am happy to provide what ever is needed but the chap I was dealing with told me verbally face to face something completely different to what he put in writing then implied I was a liar detailing a timeline that wasn't factually correct
I since asked for new case worker and sent two emails to no avail. I am worried and concerned with losing sale after reading these reviews!
Fingers crossed someone gets in touch that's professional and capable . Wish me luck 🙏

If I could give 0 stars I would.
I’ve had a policy excess dispute with proddow mackay now since October 2024. I was promised this would be completed by Christmas, complete and utter lying. When I email I am ignored completely, when I call I’m put on hold for ages before I get through to someone. Closes at 4pm but no one will pick up a call at 20 to 4. No one has been proactive in my case, no one has given me updates, it has been up to me to chase people to do their jobs, I have received no money and I guarantee if I didn’t chase them I would never hear from them again. This has been a painful process which still has not been resolved.

My car insurer forwarded the case to this solicitor. Was asked to provide the info and fill in the form. 9 months later, no news and no emails. They never follow up! Very irresponsible & unreliable.

[Updated on 24-04-2024]: I feel responsible to update my previous review, which was a one star, in order to give a more fair judgement after the progress over the past months. I was upset when I tried several times to communicate for an update of my case but all failed. After filing a complaint, the management took it seriously, which shows me that Proddow Mackay is indeed a responsible company. I was even impressed that a rather formal investigation of my reported issues was launched and I was kept updated of the outcome. This completely changed my view over this company. I therefore upgrade my review to 4 stars. The missing star is due to my previous unpleasant experience of the ineffective communication, which I cannot judge that it has been fully resolved.
Keep this positive momentum and it shouldn't be too far away from a 5-star.

I used Proddow Mackay for both sale and Purchase and they were nothing short of excellent. Samantha and her assistant Aniko are always polite and kept me updated all the way, with anything more challenging were happy to arrange an appointment for me to meet them in office and help. Overall they made the process very smooth and I couldn't recommend them enough.

I am a director of an estate agents and Proddow Mackay Solicitors are the worst conveyancing firm I’ve ever dealt with in over 1000 property transactions.

They are unprofessional, they don’t return calls, they ignore my vendors solicitors and they keep changing completions days with diabolical communication.

After several months of dealing with a buyer, they advise at the last minute that they need to get their compliance officer to sign off the file. This should have been done many weeks ago and not at the last minute when my client is anxiously waiting to complete their sale.

Avoid!!

Rubbish service. Claim still ongoing with no updates, its been 7 months that the claim has been sent to this firm and when I call asking for an update, I always get the same response that there are no updates. I’d stay well clear

Very rubbish and stupid solicitor and do not know how to do things professionally.

I complete all the forms for conveyancing which is super long and took me over a week but all after that they said they cannota accept funds from China.

I then suggested that they could probably ask the client in advance first then decide if they can do the case, otherwise it is a waste of time but they do not want to accept my advice. Obviously they have their "certain ways" to handle things which is super stupid.

Btw, do notice if they reply back to this comment, they will say they have their own regulatory process to make things work. Haha, this what they kept saying to me this morning.

If it had a star 0 i would choose that. Do not use them trust me, it will save your world.
