Using this company could have cost me thousands of pounds. Mike Redmond valued a property for sale at £60,000 less than I had been offered by the first person who saw it and £50,000 less than my estate agent's valuation. He refused to re-value it even after I requested him to reconsider. As it was a shared ownership property I wasn't allowed to sell it for more or less than £15,000 from his valuation price. This stood to cost me a lot of money.
Fortunately, I paid for another valuation from a reputable company who then valued it within the £15,000 buffer and the mortgage company agreed with that valuation as they offered the buyers their mortgage. It was the best £342 I have ever spent and I totally regret paying Redmond and Associates to do the job in the first place. I have been able to go ahead with the full price I had been offered and completion happened on Friday 11th January 2109.

Be wary of using this company for valuations! They may be cheaper than the competition but in my opinion I totally wasted the £240 I spent with him. The stress caused was unnecessary but I am so glad I tried someone else and didn't sell the house at a loss which is what would have happened if I had trusted him!

Mike was thorough and fast plus about 40% the cost of a city firm for doing a Schedule of Condition. My solicitors handling the new lease even commented on how thorough the Schedule of Condition was. I'd definitely use them again.

Extremely happy that I booked Redmond & Associates to carry out my home buyers survey, everything was smooth from start to finish.

Laura was very helpful and professional throughout, answering any questions I had and wasn’t pushy when I first inquired! Christine booked in the survey on a date of my choice with no issues and no long wait either.

The report I received was very detailed with lots of pictures relating to the points made in the report. People who read our report also commented on how detailed the report was compared to ones they’ve had with other surveyors.

There were some points that we wanted to ask about so requested a call from Michael Redmond who surveyed the property. He called back a few hours later after receiving the survey and explained the survey in detail (simple terms) and answered all the questions I had! Very pleasant and professional.

If you’re looking to book a survey then I would definitely recommend this company.

BE CAREFUL!! Paid for a full survey on a property I bought only to find a condensation problem in the loft that was completely missed. Ended up paying for scaffolding assuming it was a leak from the roof - no indication in their report of the condensation and scored the area as no issue. Money spent that could of been avoided if the assessment was done properly in the first place. Despite complaining, he couldn’t care less, didn’t even respond to my questions challenging the report. Taking them to the ombudsman now!!
