Edit: The owners response to this review is absolutle nonsense, Rob advised us there was no rush to register for VAT, and gave his estimate of a refund after knowing we were on a longer period. The fact he is trying to deflect this and blame this on us, while we were working off his advise just shows how dishonest he is.
You've apologised numerous times for your Mistakes on recorded calls, so absolutely no idea why you are lying here. Very poor service.
And no, he did not hand over same day at all, Rob refused numerous times which further daleyed our next return, and in the end, we just started everything from fresh without handover which was never offered, without paying his fabricated invoice. The new accountant has already shown us just how poor your service was, completely different level.
You also didn't seem to address the fact you advised us to charge VAT without our VAT number arriving in completely the wrong format which could have had serious legal implications? Absolutely clueless accountant. Only did my AAT Accountancy level 1 and had to correct you multiple times after a quick Google search.
Cheap and Cheerful, but super unprofessional.
Gave very poor advice which led to some pretty serious potential implications, gave completely wrong projections that led to further costs and fines, then held hand over details ransom when we left.
Definitely would not recommend for any business that is VAT registered/ 80K+ Turnover, they just aren't skilled enough to handle it and have literally no clue on some aspects of VAT, registration and process.
