An absolute treasure trove - thousands of fabulous books ranging from rarities and classics to modern literature (and everything else you could imagine). Very fair prices too You could spend hours in here. Worth a visit to Somerset just for this shop.

Fabulous book store to loose yourself in. It’s more of a house that has been overtaken by copious amounts of books everywhere. This is how all book shops should be. Priceless gem of a shop.

Ordered a book called Boney The Intellectual General. The book was £12.99 and second hand. I don’t have a problem with that but the book’s binding is completely split down the centre. I have emailed asking for a refund or possibly that I should return the book but no reply. Very poor, won’t use this company again.

Updated 2023-07-13. Still open still an eclectic selection of books, and always worth browsing to find volumes rarely seen elsewhere.
Always come back to this place when we are in Exmoor. Fabulous bookshop, loads of interesting books on two floors. Always too easy to spend money here.

Absolutely fantastic bookshop with a strong selection of nature writers (a Mary Webb shelf! An Ian Niall shelf!) and a good selection of natural history books, too. We ended up going out to pay for another hour of car parking so that we could come back and browse for more books - left with a bagful, and ‘didn’t even go upstairs!’ as the lady working there remarked! This is what all bookshops should be like.

I am very impressed with these guys. I bought one of their books online and it's phenomenal how different it is to buy from a true professional that knows their stuff. It had a detailed description of the exact condition of the book down to minor details, and it arrived exactly as I expected it to. None of the vague "very good" descriptions where you aren't sure exactly what it's gonna be like when it gets to you. Buying from them it was like they'd replicated the experience of seeing it in person.

I've also been browsing their stock and it is very much to my taste, so I think they've gained themselves a loyal customer. I only wish I lived close enough to go to the shop location.
