A great butchers. I go for for their pies.
They're all good but treat yourself to the Lamb, mint and apple. Or time your visit for the Pork Pies coming fresh out of the oven. Brilliant.

I have been coming here for many years.
Amazing quality produce and their pies, especially fresh out the oven, are probably the best I have ever tried.
This is out of the way for me but worth the 25 mile round trip.

Pork pies are best in the county (ie Lancashire - I’m from Yorkshire so obviously better available there but I was desperate for a pork pie and caught behind enemy lines!!)

Wonderful quantity meats, pies and deli products. The pies are amazing and made fresh every day. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the staff always are cheerful. Home made bacon and local eggs are available too. This is a very popular butchers, with customers coming from miles around to stock up, so be prepared for a queue on Saturday morning.

These pies are AMAZING! Better than pies I’ve bought from Fortnum & Mason, much better, in fact. They’re so scrumptious I’d drive a good few miles to buy some. I just wish they offered mail order! They taste organic and the overall experience of eating them is just delicious. A definite‘must try’ when in the area. We visited a few years ago & popped in on our way back to Barrowford. Well Done on creating such wonderful quintessentially British cuisine!

It's an award-winning local butcher shop, where people know what you are doing. They source local (or Yorkshire) Dexter or Aberdeen beef, and you can really taste the difference. But the selection of products they offer is broad: the hot pies are made at the shop and are very good, there is a selection of jams and sauces from Mrs Darlington, and many other bits. The cheeses are perhaps not as good as in Booths, but this is first and foremost the butcher's shop - and it's best for perhaps 30-50 miles
