Royal mail doesn't attempt to call at the door they make the excuses that no one was in at the time of delivery and No card posted.

Absolutely shocking service.....NOT fit for purpose. Very little mail for weeks, just received an email to say Royal Mail had tried to deliver a parcel which is a blatant lie as we have a ring doorbell and no one has knocked or approached our door.
Tried logging a complaint with Royal Mail online and received the generic response with no explanation, tried calling the sorting office for the lines to not be answered and then disconnected.

Would not use Royal Mail in a million years if there was any other postal service as an alternative!!

Delivery office opening hours are between 9.00am-10.00am. I had a wedding present returned to Canada because I was unable to get to Ongar during these hours, and no-one answers the phone when you try to call. I tried to organise a re-delivery online after no luck on the phone, only to be told that it was now past the 're-delivery' stage and to contact the Deliver Office.

I had to contact Royal Mail complaints / customer services for them to tell me it was my fault for not contacting their complaints department sooner?!

If I could give 0 stars I would. They dont even attempt to knock on your door to deliver a parcel (even though I was home) and then leave the slip and you have to go collect it at ridiculous opening hours and you get there just before 10 but they've closed already.

Improved yet still Inconvenient opening times accompanied by staff whom are telling me they different to what the online site says. Clearly not able to perform their job properly as they are not able to help my situation. Also they haven’t replied to any of their reviews on here therefore they clearly do not want to change...

Staff look bored... of life even the manager looks broken inside.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I have been very kind and patient with the delivery office however now I am just beyond furious.
I am new to the area and needed my mail redirected, since I didnt know where to go I asked in here if they would do it and I was told to leave the paper with them and I let them know it has bank statements with proof of old address on it and so if they couldn't do it then I would come back to collect it. The man who served me told me he would ask his boss then give me a call (this was on monday) it is now Thursday and I never received a call back. I have tried every day to call at least 3 times and I finally got an answer yesterday and he told me he would call me back. Still havent heard anything. I am so furious all I want is the letter and my bank statements back!! Appalling service. I will be coming in tomorrow to get them back since you clearly can't handle a phone call!!

wont answer the phone no post in 2 weeks and yesterday only open from 8.00 -8.30 and last time I saw a postman was when they were on strike picketing
