I have just completed a detox and rehabilitation at the Sanctuary. I am leaving with an comprehensive introduction to the 12 step program, because of the excellent and thorough care and guidance I have received here. The therapists provide personal counselling sessions, as well as group workshops. Help is provided with step assignments at your pace to introduce the AA process. Any concerns are addressed immediately by the friendly and helpful staff. All the support are welcome and friendly. Enjoyed the country walks and local AA meeting, as well as the fellowship meeting which visit the Sanctuary. Foods lovely as well.

Sanctuary Lodge offer a professional, comprehensive and caring service in a safe environment. I arrived despondent, my mind and body had ‘stalled’, in short, I was not well. My stay at Sanctuary Lodge gave me the ‘jumpstart’ I desperately needed. During my stay, my Body was restored by professional medical staff (and of course Lizzy’s offerings from the kitchen), my Heart was restarted by the care and power of the cohort group of peers, my mind was unravelled & stabilised by the therapists and the associated education & care programme. It’s not weak people that call out for help and end up in Sanctuary Lodge, rather, it’s strong people that may have taken on a little too much.

Sanctuary lodge is a great place to start to your road to recovery on addiction. All of the staff are amazing and so accommodating. The therapy that you receive in group situations and one to one really opens your mind around addiction and your genuine perception and puts you on the right path to recovery for when you leave. Had I not come into Sancuary Lodge I wouldn’t be anywhere near to tackling addiction.

I throughly enjoyed my time at Sanctuary Lodge. I was able to reflect on my addiction and the ways to change my behaviour and thinking. I do feel that the website needs to be updated as the pictures on there does not show the real place. The therapist, chefs, support workers have been great and has helped me so much in my recovery but I do feel they all need to communicate a bit and provide more consistency for the clients. I have met some wonderful peers which I hope them the very best and we keep in contact.
