Made a telephone appointment to go through making a will. This was used as an opportunity to upsell other products. On a Friday late afternoon we discussed asset protection for putting the house in trust. Pressure was put on us to commit to this even though I wasn’t sure about it. We were told we could cancel at any time within 14 days, giving us time to research it and if we changed our minds any deposit would be refunded. Over that weekend I discovered it was not suitable for us and other legal companies provided the service for at least a thousand pounds less than we were quoted. I sent an email cancelling over the weekend then spoke to them on the Monday. I was assured of a speedy refund of the £1273 I had paid. No money has been refunded. They do not respond to emails. It is now over a month and no money has been returned.I would very strongly advise you to never ever use this company. I am contacting trading standards and regulatory bodies.

Do No Use!! Absolutely terrible service. Still trying to get a refund 4 months later. Didn’t complete our will have nothing to show for the £750 we paid!!

Simpler Law why don't you respond to my emails. I have requested a refund due to the terrible service you have provided and after reading through your T&C's it clearly states that I would be entitled to one, but now you are ignoring all of my emails. My next step to try to recover the money you have taken from us is to report you to Action Fraud. Reading through your reviews it seems that you are doing this to a high volume us customers and it must stop.

Very straightforward process. Had appointment after 2 weeks for a 45 min consultation. Adviser was thorough and pleasant and we felt she understood our position. We had mirror wills and decided also an a trust to protect assets in the future of which was explained to us but we felt under no pressure to buy extra products we did not need. The trust increases the cost considerably but is still less expensive than high street solicitors
The finished wills came in about two weeks.
