After incorporating my company in March 24, I've had a fantastic experience with Samuel as my account manager, with the impression I've got that the culture as a whole is much in line with what I've had.

When starting out, you want to feel like no question is a silly one as there's lots to pick up on, and Samuel has been very patient and demonstrative on dealing with any enquiries me and my brother (co-owner) have faced.

They're often prompting meetings before we've even asked for them which is a great representation of how the team genuinely care for providing a great service and are looking out for the benefit of the company.

Would thoroughly recommend to anyone on the fence about making a call to them, has felt like a weight lifted with the clarity around all the company admin we have.

Won't be going anywhere else in a hurry!

Incredible service. I've got so many friends reporting nightmare experiences with accountants and I just smile smugly (and try to make them move to Smooth lol). My business is YouTube-related and most accountants I contacted clearly didn't really feel comfortable dealing with all the weird little income streams. But Smooth have been fab from the start (especially Gemma who's my main contact).

I have had the worst experience of my life with Smooth Accounting. If you want to lose a lot of money and get absolutely no value for it, then this is the place for you.

Their team is incredibly reactive rather than proactive, which is the bare minimum you'd expect from accountants. We worked specifically with Gemma, and unfortunately, she provided no assistance or insight when it came to tax strategies or helping us save money. To make matters worse, when we would ask Gemma basic questions like what qualifies as a business expense, she would just laugh, making the entire process even more frustrating and unprofessional.

On top of that, it genuinely feels like this company is working for HMRC rather than for their clients. An accountant’s role should be to help businesses legally reduce their tax liabilities, but Smooth Accounting seems to do the opposite. They seem more interested in siding with HMRC than advocating for their clients' interests.

To make things worse, a lot of their team members are perpetually out of office or on annual leave. It genuinely feels like they're out of the office more often than they're in it.

Please do yourself a favour and stay away from this company. Save your money and avoid the stress and disappointment of working with Smooth Accounting. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

I have had dealings with members of Smooth Accounting since July 2022. I have found the staff all so easy to talk to and incredibly knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to recommend their services. You can tell they really care, they go above and beyond to look after their customers. They are quick to respond and no question is too small. I honestly can’t say anything negative about my experiences working with them. Brilliant customer service!

It is not very often I hold my hands up when I haven't made a good decision, but a few years back I made a bad decision! We recently came back to Smooth accounting and I can honestly say I wish we had never left the first time. Jeri's knowledge and advice was invaluable and from that 15 minute call I knew we were going back, they had to be our accountant as they genuinely care about the business, after all we are all here to make money!

Our account manager Gemma exceeded all our expectations carrying on and fulfilling what Jeri had put on offer.

We are extremely happy and if you want modern customer focused accounting then Smooth are 100% the practice you need.
