Had my procedure here on Saturday 3rd February 2024 and what an amazing place. I arrived at 7.30 and was taken to my room upstairs by one of the porters. From that point the care from all the nurses, surgeon, anesthetist, doctors etc was absouletly fantastic. Defiantly felt looked after and nothing was too much trouble. If I ever did need another operation then this is the place I'd want to have it. Thank you all

I had a consultation in February and was told I need surgery. It's now almost June and they still can't give me even an approximate date. I asked if it will be this year and they can't say, which is concerning and disappointing. They won't put me through to the right department on the phone so I have to leave a message and then they send very blunt texts from no reply numbers so I don't have the opportunity to ask follow up questions. I wouldn't recommend.

I was admitted there on the 29th September under the wonderful care of Mr James Casha to have some spinal injections.
His care was fantastic the room was spotless the staff fantastic ,I did not take all their names but James he was so kind and caring and as I have a needle phobia he helped me through it and came with me to the operating theatre and collected me afterwards
There was also Claire and the anethatist was kind and patient and a wonderful theatre nurse whose name I did not take ,but she goes to Cornwall and as I am going she talked me whilst the canular was fitted she was brilliant
The recovery nurses were fantastic and then when I came back to my room a lovely nurse called Mary looked after me .
Everyone was kind and professional and I cannot thank them enough.😊🤗🤗🤗💤👍

I had surgery today and I can't recommend or thank the staff enough. So polite, caring, reassuring, professional. The hospital was spotlessly clean. The food was amazing and the chef was awesome. All the staff were totally awesome. Thank you so much everyone

Been in hospital several times but my time at Margate Spencer Hospital was my worst ever experience. Conditions and treatment were worse than any NHS hospital I have been to. I held off making a formal complaint because I was due for another operation there,, but that is not going to happen now so I feel free to proceed. The Spencer is actually pseudo private hospital, wholly owned by the local health trust. Anyone who is foolish enough to actually pay for treatment there has my sympathy. If you are paying thousands for an op find yourself a proper genuine private facility with the appropriate level of care.

I went in for a hysterectomy. The staff could not have been kinder, funnier or more relaxed - everyone I spoke to, bar none. The room was great, but unfortunately overlooked the area where the ambulances and police are in and out all night long, so i got no sleep at all. The food was awful though, sorry - the breakfast was ok and well presented, but my lunch of baked potato with tuna and salad was not great, in any way and the sponge for afters had been so microwaved it was inedible, alas - sorry, but I want to be honest. The food people were so lovely though, too.

Staff are friendly, but communication via calls and emails is beyond a joke. Constant chasing up, never reply or call back when they say they will

Utter rubbish, I had an (NHS) consultation with Spencer in June 2021 upshot was hernia, they could do it straight away if I went 'private', it would be an unlimited waiting list on NHS.
I asked for the contact details for private, contacted them twice by email, twice by voicemail, they didn't respond to FOUR seperate requests for assistance.
Went to Chaucer Canterbury (who were excellent) and got it all sorted in a month (August 2021).
Today !!!! (twelve months later !!!!) Spencer phone me complete;y out of the blue .... and offer me a hernia op 'as they have space on their waiting lists'
Flabergasted doesn't come close, utter joke of a firm.
