Gillian Cooke recently helped my mum with her sale and purchase. The purchase was quite stressful for her as there were a number of issues with the developer as we got close to the completion date. Gillian was excellent. She managed to resolve the issues, keep the completion on track, and keep my mum reassured at all times. A great service overall.

Opened a case regarding my severed fractured knee and i was allocated a solicitor Who has done nothing but reject me every email I have sent! it was either he would be on annual leave or out the office also trying to sell me insurance telling me it was critical then for me to look it up but for it to tell me it isn’t essential and it was mandatory and it wasn’t so they’re clearly getting commission on selling insurance policies absolutely disgusting company not to mention the hiring self-employed solicitors to work for them as the one they allocated me was self-employed contracted to Stevenson’s and that wasn’t mentioned either. Please don’t use these solicitors disgusting service.! It wasn’t mentioned to me that this company hire self employed solicitors and for me never to be able to get in contact. I went to stephensons for complete full support to take the stress away from it all but instead have done nothing but caused me stress in the long run. If it weren’t for having to put 1 star I would be putting minus stars!

We instructed Michael Cheetham to deal with our recent house sale and purchase. Michael and his colleague Joanne were always extremely helpful, answered our queries efficiently and dealt with the transactions seamlessly. The whole sale/purchase process took approx 8 weeks from start to finish, and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Thank you again to Michael and Joanne for their help throughout the duration of our matter. I would definitely recommend the team to others - you will not be disappointed in their service.

Shocking still not got a response for my complaint will take further with evidence. Cannot buy because each time we call the solicitor always has an excuse, 0 star worst in Britain, before replying to this comment see my email the one you have ignored. I may take this up with ombudsman and post on social reviews with evidence. If you are interested in buying or selling properties ensure stephensons is not involved, if you want work completed look elsewhere, we have been ignored and spoken to very rudely and delayed for months. Don't bother responding to make yourselves look good in public, respond to people who actually send you emails privately to resolve matters.

Used them for a house purchase and sell and we weren’t really impressed, it took 8 months with COVID being blamed. Once we were in our new home we wanted to do a land transfer and we stuck with Stephensons as all the different areas and titles were fresh in everyone’s minds. We paid the fee and waited. Here we are nearly three years later and still no land transfer. I’ve messaged several times asking for updates which have been acknowledged with promises of a return email with updates. This never happens. After I asked for the complaints process I got a message back that they were dealing with it and would look into what was taking so long. After two more attempts to contact them for updates I have had nothing back. They have taken my money under false pretences. Avoid at all cost.

They don’t deserve any star at all .

They are liars , they will drag with your case and flip around to dozens of useless individuals who doesn’t know how to communicate to clients.

I’m reporting them to the Ombudsman, they are not operating the usual professional way I have full doubt on these scammers.
They want rip people off with large fees over will accumulate and whack clients.

Will definitely not recommend stay away from these scammers honestly.

Buying and selling a house is stressful at the best of times however Stephensons Solicitors have dealt with it really well. It's not been easy with a failed sale and a failed purchase through no fault of the Solicitors it was the other parties. Rebecca, Dawn and Alison have been fantastic. From the numerous phone calls chasing and asking many questions they have really supported me through my conveyancing. They have been brilliant from start to finish.
