Visited here last weekend and had a great stay. It is a typical Dales Hotel. We stayed in room 4 with our dog who even got her own welcome pack on arrival. The room was huge and spotlessly clean. Beer was great, food in the evening lovely and the continental breakfast next morning was really good with lots of everything and you helped yourself to whatever you want. We enjoyed it so much we booked to go again (while we were still there)!

Lovely cosy pub. A few nice beers. Nice service. Located quite centrally so handy. The chips we got were proper thick cut chips with some really nice toppings. The chilli was proper bits of shredded beef.

Really enjoyed it in here.
The staff were lovely and friendly.
Food was great. My wife said the hunters chicken was the best she has tasted.
I had the beef sandwich and it was brilliant. Thick slices of tender beef. Lovely chips too.
Landlord on tap too which was great!

A nice little place, staff were friendly, helpful and excellent pub food, we had all our meals here tasty, steak was cooked perfect. Plenty of choice from menu, the garden is beautiful with flowers and hanging baskets. A great live band on the Saturday night supercharged. Great atmosphere. Thanks guys Liza & Ed x

Lovely location in the heart of the town. Fabulous welcome from the staff. We had the Sunday roast ? - one turkey, one ham and one beef. Very tasty and super generous portions. Thoroughly recommend!

Parking is limited on Thursday night due a market in front of the hotel however normally £2 donation box. The staff were very friendly, pub friendly plus the food was good. Our stay was very pleasant and it is a great location.

If you love historical haunted pubs then you must go to the Black Swan! Steeped in history and retains a lot of old decor and furniture. We never ate here but the pint was good ?

Hubby and I needed a stop over in order to attend an auction at Tennants. Great room views and breakfast. Room was supersized bath and shower were amazing X|We will be back asap. The owners are lovely food fantastic. X?. Room was huge views were stunning.
