Our recent remortgage was a bit more complicated as we were paying off a Help to Buy equity loan and renovating the house, however the whole process was seamless. I'd previously been in touch with Julie French through The Mortgage Company to see if I would be able to get a mortgage and she was very helpful in doing some affordability calculations so that I knew at what price range I could look at. When I found a property I liked I got back in touch with Julie (on a Friday) and with her working over the weekend she was able to get me an Agreement In Principle by Monday lunchtime (amazingly fast) so I was able to make an offer on the property. Sadly that purchase didn't happen as the property needed too much work, but when I found another one Julie was happy to get another Agreement in place which helped me secure the property. She has now sorted out the mortgage for me and I expect to be in the house very soon.
