I stayed in The Priory guesthouse in Middleham for 3 nights early October.|The guesthouse is the best I have stayed in by some distance. Sarah is a warm and friendly host but not at all intrusive and guests are free to come and go. A great deal of thought and care has been taken to make a stay special. I stayed in The Blue Room and had every facility I could possibly have wanted. The room was very clean, spacious and I had views to Middleham Castle and was able to watch the racehorses being taken to the gallops every morning. The dressing room and bathroom were both well equipped and the bed and bedding very comfortable. There is a large choice of food for breakfast and the veggie breakfast is wonderful.|This is definitely THE place to stay for exploring the Dales. |I cannot recommend The Priory highly enough.|Thank you Sarah and Chris for making my break special.|Maureen McGrath

It's rare that rooms match an establishment's online presence, but The Priory in Middleham is as lovely as pictured! Our room and the common areas were sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and odor free. Our bed was comfortable with crisp white linens. Every special detail that makes a positive impression was attended to, and the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful right down to steaming hot milk for my coffee. Quaint table settings included dog bowls with sliced sausages for the furry traveling companions of other guests. And what a view outside the front windows: gorgeous race horses trotting by each morning on their way to the Gallops and beautiful Middleham Castle right across the street. Best of all was the warm and sincere welcome and attention by owner Sarah. Treat yourself to a stay at The Priory.

This bed and breakfast is the best we’ve stayed in. The host, Sarah, could not do enough for us. She even did some ironing for us and made us a pack up and flask for our day ahead.|The room was beautiful, we stayed in the blue room. It had a dressing room, beautiful copper bath and a lovely comfortable king size bed, plus a fabulous view of Middleham castle and we could watch the race horses each morning going up to the gallopps. |We could come and go as we pleased. The breakfast was amazing.|We would recommend anyone to stay. |Thank you Sarah you made our stay truly wonderful. ?

Lovely accommodation and wonderful welcome. Comfortable bed and lovely pillows. Bathroom spacious with nice toiletries. Shame I didn't have time to try that bath. Breakfast plentiful and Sara was a welcoming host. |We toured around for a week and this was the nicest place we stayed. Middleham is an interesting town, worth a visit and wander around.

Our second stay, this time in the Blue room. Large comfortable bed and great pillows - I have a thing about pillows and often get a sore neck if they're not just right, but these were fantastic. Huge room, separate dressing area, and copper bath plus rainfall walk-in shower. Spotlessly clean, easy parking on the cobbles outside, and lovely breakfast cooked perfectly by our host, Sarah, who works so hard and nothing is too much trouble. Ideally situated near to pubs/restaurant. We had a great stay, thanks Sarah and Chris.

A fantastic visit. We were visiting Middleham for a stable visit to Johnston Racing and so glad we found this place. Sarah was a lovely host and nothing was too much trouble. We were in room 5 which was so comfortable and we loved watching the racehorses go past the window in the morning. Superb breakfast to top things off (the porridge is amazing! ) We are already planning a return visit. I genuinely cannot think of anything to complain about.

Just back from a wonderful two night stay at The Priory for our "baby moon" mini break. Our room was perfect with every little detail thought of. The bed was so comfy and the bath a luxury, with a castle view from the window. Sarah was a fantastic host, her breakfasts were incredible and with lots of choice. She also recommended lots of great dinner places and sights to visit in the area.

It felt like a boutique hotel stay with the personal touch of a B&B, we will 100% be coming back.

Outstanding luxury B&B in Middleham, with a wonderful host who simply cant do enough for you. Gorgeous room with roll top bath / castle view, fantastic breakfast and a great location for a walk or to explore Wensleydale. Highly recommended.
