I'm a Thistle Hill Hall resident and will update my review. In my opinion, Thistle Hill Hall was an exceptional unit. Due to some diabolical recruitment decisions, the unit has deteriorated into a toxic and negative culture of gossiping.

One member of staff commented that they work at Thistle because it is an easy job, which is a clear indicator that they do not wish to help other people. This should be the primary motive of individuals working in a caring profession.

Some of the staff are uneducated, narrow-minded, and negative, which I find appalling. I'm glad I've recovered and will be leaving soon, fortunately for my health and well-being.

Some of the staff are very effective, but unfortunately, some are negative people, and I've received some extremely negative comments and experienced some very poor care. However, thanks to Thistle, I have recovered and gained stability.

I am a Rehabilitation assistant at Debdale and I love it, all the staff have been very welcoming and helpful and made me feel part of the team straight away, I love going on outings and doing activities with service users who are just as welcoming to new staff:)
