I contacted Thornton & Lee as I needed help to decide wether to apply for LPA or apply for a Deputyship for a relative. Solicitor fees are out of my budget so I would be applying myself.
I used their LPA assesment service, which I would recommend to anyone feeling a bit stuck and unsure what route to go down!
Rebecca dealt with my case, she was very supportive from the start and she made sure she had a good understanding of my family's situation before the home visit.
During the home visit, Rebecca was very kind and reassuring to my relative and was also very considerate of how she was feeling during the assesment.
The service includes the completion of the COP3 document (if required) which was completed very quickly and very detailed.
Thornton & Lee were great to deal with, answered all my questions promptly (and I asked alot ?) and had clear pricing with no hidden extras. Would recommend to anyone in a similar situation to myself.

The report was high quality and was drawn up quickly following the assessment appointment. I absolutely recommend this company to anyone who requires a private mental capacity assessment, you could spare yourself months of pointless phone calls to the doctor only for doctor to decline to complete the assessment.

I have had an excellent experience  with Thornton & Lee after a disappointing experience with the GP who refused to do the mental capacity assessment to complete COP3 (part B). I could book an online video assessment ( Thornton & Lee offers online and face to face assessments for an affordable price) very quickly and the result of the assessment was fantastic. I didn't need to apply for a deputyship after all. I could apply for the LPA  (property and financial affairs). I was really satisfied with the mental capacity assessment result and used Thornton & Lee's service for the Certificate Provider signature too to apply for the LPA (the property and financial affairs).  The whole process took about a week. I really appreciated that it was very easy to contact them, they were very professional and friendly and they responded very quickly.  I cannot thank  Thornton & Lee enough for all that they have done for me and my family.
