Engaged them to represent me in a property purchase. On the first contact, I explained that I need the matter to be conducted in a timely manner and they confirmed are able to do so. After I have accepted their quote, completed & returned all the requested documentations, which took a lot of time to fill and complete, they called me 1 week later and said they couldn’t represent anymore as they are ‘busy’. The service was absolutely poor, they showed no regards to the time which they have wasted for me, almost risked me losing the deal. Don’t recommend, absolutely unprofessional.

Was highly recommended Wakesmith by a friend. They sorted out her separation from her husband in a very fair and efficient manner.
However, I asked for the first 30 mins free advice - I’m on an extremely low wage and have been forced out of my home of 33 years. I was told, no appointments until December- I might not be here then! Unhelpful and lack empathy in desperate situations.

Lindsey Canning and Victoria Walker have been amazing in sorting out a very tricky situation with my mortgage and my ex husband who was being rather difficult! Without them I would not be in the position I am today of having the situation sorted! Lindsey is so professional and kept me up to-date with every step of the process. Having tried to get this sorted several times in the past and not been able to it has been a massive relief that this has finally been solved!

If I could I would give 0 stars. They pretend to be understanding and willing to take on the case, ask for personal information, then tell you to find another lawyer. No personal information is needed to review cases. Do not contact this law firm.

My husband and I recently had our wills rewritten by Stephanie Chung and we would not hesitate to recommend her and Wake Smith. Stephanie was very professional in all aspects of our dealings with her, always prompt with responses, gave clear and sensible advice / guidance and was very personable and easy to be with. The offices are bright, modern, calm and welcoming with artwork reflecting Sheffield's rivers and valleys. The reception staff were discreet yet attentive. Overall, an excellent experience.

After nearly 2 years on/off working on my Deed Poll, a colleague of mine recommended that I get in touch with Wake Smith Solicitors instead to change my name. I rang Wake Smith Solicitors at 2:45pm on Thursday, attended a short appointment at 2:30pm the following day and I returned to my office with a new name. Paperwork was submitted to HR on the same day and my record was updated before 4pm. After two years I couldn't believe how well the whole process went. Everyone I spoke to Wake Smith Solicitors were friendly, helpful and very professionally. Definitely highly recommended!
