What helps make Southwold such an interesting and lovely place to visit, it's variety of mostly independent stores, and this one, Wells of Southwold I found particularly interesting, as it had such a varied selection. It's obvious from the window displays (or at least on the day of my visit) that it's a bookstore, and they also sell beautiful framed prints, but as you walk inside, you'll find there's so much more to it. They had a really good range of books, including some with local interest, and as pointed out in the shop, not bad prices, as quite a few are discounted. The prints and photographs available are quite stunning, and available in a variety of sizes, so there's plenty to choose from. As you'd expect given it's location, they also have a large selection of gifts and souvenirs, but what perhaps you would expect to find are CDs, and even some Vinyl (OK, it does mention music in the shop sign, but I didn't notice) and a lot more besides, so it's well worth taking a look around.
