Overall I am happy with the service I experienced using Wollens.

Chloe did a great job in responding to my communications in a timely manner and was always very polite and helpful in explaining the process and expectations on my part.

As a first-time buyer, I appreciated the clear and concise communication at all stages.

Some documents contained mistakes such as references to the wrong property or name, but it was nothing that couldn't be fixed easily 🙂

The only thing I can think of that would improve my experience is to have more proactive status updates from Wollens to me as the client, even if nothing has changed, just a semi-regular communication to say "It's all moving along in the right direction, waiting on ... " can go a long way to putting our minds at ease, especially for first-time buyers

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. Or if you do AVOID Andrew Wood AT ALL COST.
This utterly dreadful solicitor is lazy and totally incompetent. He fails to communicate with anyone, not replying to emails for MONTHS, has poor knowledge of conveyancing and almost caused our house sale to fall through. In my opinion, he charged clients thousands of pounds of unnecessary work and took from the 16th May until 18th August to respond to contract. Failing to respond to anyone. He actually laughed about never talking to people when they call.
The week of exchange, (which took 7 months -no mortgages, no surveys,) he asked for a revised contract to be sent, he had actually had it for over a month and had no idea. During the same week he produced 20+ new enquiries, all of which should have been sent months prior, basic title questions on boundaries. The man is a disgrace, he is rude and his work is incredibly shoddy. Be VERY warned, he is the worst conveyancing solicitor I have ever come across. LAZY and SLOW to the point of not actually doing any work. And to cap it all, he takes days off (which everyone is entitled to) but fails to inform anyone. Myself, our solicitor and Webbers have never had to deal with such a useless and lazy solicitor ever. Be very warned…..
